Stage Principal Welcome
Welcome to GPIS Elementary Stage.
Elementary school is a vital step in preparing children for later learning and life in general. It’s where most children learn to read, where they learn the fundamental concepts of science and mathematics, and where they gain a basic understanding of the world and its history. Without elementary education, all other learning would be difficult, if not impossible. Indeed, studies have shown that learning to read before fourth grade can actually increase a student’s lifelong earning potential. In other words, the quality of education a child receives in elementary school can affect their entire life. A responsibility that your Elementary Stage takes very seriously.
Who we are and what we do.
GPIS strives to be a model international school offering a broad and challenging educational program to students to assist them in contributing their wisdom, compassion, and leadership in a global society.
Elementary Education is the first and foremost phase of a child’s education system. It plays a very critical role in an educational journey with certain targeted roles to play in a child’s life such as enabling children to learn reading, writing, Math, and creativity along with character building, critical thinking, logical judgment, and communication and socialization skills along with physical and emotional development.
In short, education especially at an early stage is aimed toward the child’s initial stages of development.
The best elementary schools and stages are the ones that have a curriculum that is based on a student’s development than cramming of course books, a reasonably new concept but a vital one. Elementary stages promote independence for both students and parents, independence being a major factor for growth, children develop their true selves when in school.
Maria Montessori called Elementary the second plane of development. The child becomes less dependent on imitation and much more concerned with how and why questions. Social interactions with peers become more important, the discovery of, and pride in, one’s personal heritage and family customs become fascinating, and knowledge is no longer taken at face value. These children are hungry for intellectual challenges, open-ended questions, and lots of facts.

Our curriculum is structured to stimulate creative thinking and encourage our students to explore the world around them through practical exploration and discovery. Accordingly, our curriculum is planned around activities that we organize in order to promote learning and personal growth. Through integrated learning, we encourage the students to put to use different concepts taught across the curriculum in order to solve problems & create products that are applicable to real life.
